Kordario Fleming Receives Honorable Mention for the StatSheet Atlantic Sun Freshman of the Week - January 7th, 2013

North Florida's Travis Wallace has won the StatSheet Atlantic Sun Player of the Week award for the week ending January 7th. StatSheet's Atlantic Sun Freshman of the Week goes to Beau Beech from North Florida. And finally, Filip Cvjeticanin from Florida Gulf Coast takes home StatSheet's Atlantic Sun 6th Man of the Week. Wallace put up 6 rebounds per game, 70% shooting, and 19.7 points per game. The North Florida junior played well in wins versus Lipscomb and Stetson and a loss to Northern Kentucky.

Wallace led the Ospreys in scoring and rebounding with 24 points and 8 rebounds in an 84-70 win over Lipscomb. In the next game he added 12 points on 50% shooting in a 65-52 loss to Northern Kentucky. Finally, Wallace put up 23 points and 5 rebounds, closing out the week with a 90-74 win over Stetson.

This is the first StatSheet Atlantic Sun Player of the Week award for Travis Wallace. The runner-up this week is Bud Thomas, a junior from Mercer. Honorable mention goes to sophomore Bernard Thompson from Florida Gulf Coast. The highest ranking player from Jacksonville was Glenn Powell who finished 10th.

StatSheet Atlantic Sun Freshman of the Week: North Florida's Beau Beech

Beau Beech averaged 30 minutes starting all 3 games for North Florida. His average in three pointers (3.33 per game) led all Atlantic Sun freshmen. In the win over Lipscomb, Beech chalked up 17 points on 50% shooting. Following that in the loss to Northern Kentucky, he led scoring with 17 points on 66% shooting. And closing it out with the win versus Stetson, Beech racked up 11 points and 4 steals.

This is the first StatSheet Atlantic Sun Freshman of the Week award for Beau Beech. Stephen Hurt from Lipscomb gets runner-up. Honorable mention goes to our own Kordario Fleming.

StatSheet Atlantic Sun 6th Man of the Week: Florida Gulf Coast's Filip Cvjeticanin

Filip Cvjeticanin, a 6-9 Sophomore forward, played an average of 19 minutes over three games for the Eagles. In a 68-59 win over Kennesaw State, Cvjeticanin put up 9 points and 3 rebounds. During a 77-70 loss to Mercer, he racked up 14 points on 41% shooting. Finally, in a 78-55 monster win over Jacksonville, Cvjeticanin put up 7 points and 3 rebounds.

This is the first StatSheet Atlantic Sun 6th Man of the Week award for Filip Cvjeticanin. Aaron Graham, a junior guard from Stetson, is runner up. Andy Diaz, a senior forward from North Florida, receives honorable mention. Evin Graham finished 4th and was the highest ranking 6th man from Jacksonville. Jacksonville has yet to win StatSheet Atlantic Sun Player of the Week.
